Built in 2012, this 572m2 $2.2 million project was built for Ngāti Hine in Kawakawa, Northland. The concept for the building is based on the Māori tradition that all life is born from the womb of Papatūānuku. This unique childcare centre is an 11 time award winning architecturally designed structure and we’re so proud to have been part of the project.

Completed in 2020, this exceptional building is split into four pavilions that covers 700m2, each housing varying age groups of children. A large soaring roof form ties the pavilions together. The design reflects the local culture for Bay of Island families, and the flow between the in and outdoor spaces inspires open-ended exploration and discovery.

This custom-built Northland holiday sanctuary in an exclusive suburb of Whangarei is the ultimate elevation of the traditional Kiwi bach. The internal space is divided into distinctive areas and with the glazed walls, the outdoors is beautifully embraced. The building utilises cross ventilation and an abundance of natural daylight. It’s a perfect example of the quality coastal homes and feature builds in Northland we’ve become known for over the years.
